Published Works

Dr. Saddhamangala Karunaratne’s published works reflect his sustained research in Sri Lankan archaeology, epigraphy, and Buddhist art. His scholarship focused particularly on the study and documentation of Brāhmī inscriptions and their significance for understanding early historical developments in Sri Lanka.

Trained in epigraphy at the University of Cambridge, he contributed to the systematic recording, analysis, and publication of inscriptional material. In addition to his authored works, he participated in editorial and institutional publications associated with the Department of Archaeology.
